Avoiding sanctions means buying expensive and selling cheap / the cost of sanctions has reached 40-50%
A member of the delegation of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce said: evading sanctions is nonsense, we don't have evasion of sanctions, we have buying high and selling cheap. What has happened is that we sell our goods abroad cheaper and buy the goods we import more expensive than others.
Daud Rangi, a member of the delegation of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, in an interview with the reporter of Eghtesad Online regarding the economic situation of the country in the new term of the American presidency, said: If dialogue and negotiation are not carried out, the economic conditions of the country will worsen from the current situation, sanctions will be intensified and the cost of trade will increase.
Rangi added: In such a situation, the import of goods and their transportation will be affected by new sanctions, and the shortage of goods will be felt in the country, because a large amount of food, especially raw materials, is imported from abroad. All these are issues and problems that may arise if there is no negotiation.
He continued: The situation of sanctions can be much worse than the current situation. Right now we are importing the goods with tricks. This deterioration means that goods will become more expensive and raw materials will enter the country in smaller quantities and at a higher cost, which in any case will intensify the crisis.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Importers of Livestock and Poultry Inputs of Iran said: Circumventing sanctions is nonsense, we do not circumvent sanctions, we buy high and sell cheap. What has happened is that we sell our goods abroad cheaper and buy the goods we import more expensive than others.
Rangi also said about the costs that the sanctions have imposed on the country: Mr. Rouhani said in his second term of office that the cost caused by the sanctions is 20-25%. In my opinion, this number is already higher than 25% and may reach 40-50%
