Pezeshkian Mocks Israeli Offer to Help Iran with Water Management

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian derided the Israeli prime minister’s promise to assist Iran in handling the water crisis as a “mirage”.
In a post on his X account on Wednesday, Pezeshkian said he wonders how the Zionist regime, which has deprived the Gazan people of water and food, is going to supply Iranian people with water.
“What a mirage!” the Iranian president said.
He was reacting to comments made by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu who claimed that the Zionist regime will help Iran recycle and desalinate water.
It comes as Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Wednesday that at least eight people, including three children, have starved to death in the territory during the past 24 hours, bringing the total count of hunger-related deaths to 235, including 106 children.
Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, has said at least 100 children died in the Gaza Strip due to malnutrition and hunger, while more than 40,000 children were reported killed or injured due to Israeli attacks.
The Zionist regime’s war on Gaza has killed at least 61,722 people and wounded 154,525 since October 2023./tasnim
