It’s Time to Take Israeli Plot for West Asia, North Africa Seriously: Kharrazi

Head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations warned regional states that the Israeli regime’s plots for West Asia and North Africa pose a real and immediate danger, urging them to adopt a collective decision to block the US-Israeli scheme for dominance in the region.
In comments on Thursday, Kamal Kharrazi said the countries of the region must recognize the Israeli regime’s threats and acts of aggression and respond with unity. “The time has come for regional countries to take the Israeli regime’s plan for West Asia and North Africa seriously.”
He noted that Iran, as the only power in the region resisting the Zionist regime’s aggression, is prepared to assist neighboring countries and contribute to efforts aimed at neutralizing the hostile plots.
Regional security cannot be preserved through foreign bases and forces, Kharrazi stressed, adding that genuine security must come from within, through collective cooperation among regional states.
He called the establishment of a regional defensive security pact more urgent than ever and reiterated Iran’s readiness for dialogue to build such a framework.
“We are all in the same boat and must take the danger seriously,” Kharrazi said, pointing to Israel’s recent attack on Qatar as further proof of the regime’s disregard for regional sovereignty.
He argued that the latest Israeli act of aggression exposed another layer of the US-Israeli scenario for the region, one that regional countries must not underestimate.
The Israeli regime on Tuesday struck Hamas’s leadership in the Qatari capital, an act of aggression that has drawn widespread international condemnation.
Hamas confirmed that five of its members, including the son of senior leader Khalil al-Hayya, were martyred in the strike. A member of Qatar’s security forces was also killed./tasnim
