Negotiations meaningless if snapback activated

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says that Tehran is ready to verify the peaceful nature of its nuclear program, but if the snapback mechanism is activated, holding talks on this issue would no longer make sense.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday met with Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter. Referring to Switzerland’s record of humanitarian efforts, he stated that today in Gaza, innocent and defenseless children and women are dying due to a lack of medicine and food, and Switzerland can make effective efforts to prevent the continuation and worsening of the catastrophe and the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza.
The President went on to say that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in accordance with the fatwa of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, regards the building of nuclear weapons as forbidden.
Pezeshkian went on to say that Iran is ready for this issue to be verified within the framework of international law and its rights. "We welcome diplomatic talks to resolve the issue, but naturally, if the snapback mechanism is activated, there will no longer be any meaning to dialogue.”
Pezeshkian also expressed Iran’s readiness to expand cooperation and elevate the level of relations with Switzerland.
The Swiss President, in turn, expressed appreciation for Pezeshkian’s constructive positions, emphasizing that Iran and Switzerland are both seeking the common goal of establishing peace in the world.
Karin Keller-Sutter added that her country welcomes any constructive engagement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency and firmly believes that diplomatic dialogue is the best way to resolve problems and strengthen relations.
She also pointed out that her country has condemned Israel’s attacks on Gaza, as well as on Iran and Qatar, stressing that Switzerland seeks the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza as soon as possible./mehr
