Over 562k tons of goods transited via Gilan custums in H1

An official at the Transportation and Road Maintenance of Gilan province has said that more than 562,000 tons of nonoil goods were transited from the provincial borders in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year.
Director General of Transportation and Road Maintenance of Gilan province Fariborz Moradi stated that over 562,000 tons of non-oil goods were transited from the borders of this northern province in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to September 22, 2025).
Of total goods transited from the provincial borders, over 492,000 tons and more than 70,000 tons of goods have been transited from Astara and Anzali borders, respectively, he added.
In this period, more than 168,000 tons of the transited goods exported from the province between March 21 and September 22, 2025, Moradi noted.
He went on to say that over 56,000 tons of non-oil goods were imported from Astara Border into the country, noting that more than 634,000 tons of goods were exported overseas from this border, showing a five percent growth compared to the same period last year.
Various types of fresh fruits and vegetables and also different kinds of tiles were exported from Astara Border overseas in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2025), the director general added./mehr
