Hezbollah still respectful of Lebanon's truce with 'Israel'

"If Hezbollah is not taking action now, it is because it does not want to breach the ceasefire the Zionist regime has with Lebanon, otherwise it has the power to change the course of actions," according to Iran's Ali Larijani.
Speaking in a recent interview with local Iranian media published on Wednesday, the Secretary of Iran's National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani stressed that the Lebanese resistance movement is still powerful militarily, remaining silent for the time being in the face of violations of the ceasefire.
"If Hezbollah is not taking action now, it is because it does not want to breach its promise with the Zionist regime in the Lebanese ceasefire, otherwise it has the power to change the course [of events]," the top Iranian security official said.
He praised to the new secretary general of Hezbollah, saying that Sheikh Naim Qassem is not an unskifull man as he has been in Hezbollah's leadership for years.
"The new Secretary General of Hezbollah follows the path laid by Martyr Nasrallah and has the same thinking and has a dynamic mind, has a correct analysis of the situation and has made decisions for geopolitical changes," he continued.
Elsewhere, he responded to a question about Syria after the fall of Assad government, saying "The situation in Syria will not remain the same. Syria has a Muslim people and they will not tolerate the status quo."
He called on the Islamic nations to foil the plots drawn by the United States for the region through keeping their unity. /mehr
