Qazvin Province expresses willingness to collaborate with Brazil

Iran’s Qazvin Province is poised to become a key player in enhancing economic relations between Iran and Brazil, according to Governor Mohammad Nozari.

During Tuesday's meeting with Brazilian Ambassador to Iran André Veras Guimarães, the governor highlighted the province's rich industrial, agricultural, and tourism capacities, emphasizing its potential as a partner in mutual development.

With a history spanning over a thousand years, Qazvin boasts a diverse production landscape, manufacturing 1,280 different products, including 60% of the country's detergents, significant steel output, and various export-ready glass and ceramics, Nozari said.

In agriculture, the province plays a crucial role in producing poultry, meat, olives, and raisins, all of which have strong export potential to Brazil, he added.

The governor noted that Qazvin is home to 107 foreign-invested enterprises and possesses extensive tourism opportunities, making it an attractive destination for Brazilian investors.

He expressed a desire to enhance agricultural efficiency, leveraging Brazil's expertise in the sector for knowledge transfer and technological collaboration.

Emphasizing the friendly relations between Iran and Brazil, Nozari invited Brazilian partners to experience Qazvin's renowned hospitality.

He also mentioned the province's achievements in sports, particularly in wrestling, karate, and football, indicating further avenues for cooperation.

Qazvin is ready to play an active role in strengthening economic ties, from exporting olives and raisins to small appliances and cables, the governor concluded./irna
