Iran Eyes Closer Ties with Thailand

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated Thailand’s king and prime minister on the Southeast Asian country’s National Day, expressing Iran’s readiness to expand bilateral cooperation and contribute to regional and international peace and stability.

In separate messages to King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Pezeshkian noted that the two countries mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.

The president expressed Iran’s willingness to broaden cooperation across areas of mutual interest and said Tehran is confident that relations will continue to grow in the direction of both nations’ welfare, as well as the strengthening of peace and stability.

Pezeshkian added that, given the long-standing ties between the two nations and existing capacities for collaboration, Iran looks forward to deeper partnership and closer engagement with Thailand./tasnim
