Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi clarified the concept of ‘resistance’ and roots of victory of the Iranian nation in the soft- and hard battles, stating that media is a part of the Resistance Front and its role is decisive and strategic in the soft war.

He pointed to the defense doctrine of the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting that the country has never initiated war, but it stands firmly against any aggression.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Brigadier General Shekarchi reviewed the experience of the eight years of the Sacred Defense (Iraqi imposed war against Iran in 1980-1988) and the recent 12-day Israeli imposed war, stressing that the enemy, in this all-out hybrid war, used all its power to surrender Iran but completely failed.

“Resistance” was the only factor behind the victory of the Iranian nation, a resistance that was manifested under the wise leadership of Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the powerful armed forces, national media and people from all walks of life, Shekarchi underlined.

The global hatred of the United States and Israeli regime has tremendously increased, especially the 12-day war and today, the Islamic Iran has grown too powerful and stronger more than ever.

Referring to the strategic position of the Islamic Republic in the Axis of Resistance, the spokesman of the armed forces emphasized that Iran is the core of hope of all the resistance forces in the world, so Iran's power has always been on the rise on the international stage since the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

On June 13, 2025, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked aggression against Iran while Washington and Tehran were in a process of nuclear negotiations. The Israeli attack triggered a 12-day war that killed at least 1,064 people in the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians.

The United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites in a grave violation of international law.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic sites across the occupied territories as well as the Al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.

On June 24, Iran, through its successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the US, managed to impose a halt to the aggression./mehr
