Iran-China Ties Can Evolve into Sustainable, Result-Oriented Partnership: Envoy
Iran’s ambassador to China said relations between Tehran and Beijing have the potential to move beyond their current level and develop into a sustainable and result-oriented partnership, provided they are anchored in mutual respect and long-term vision.
Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli held a meeting with Chinese thinkers, researchers, and members of the country’s intellectual and elite community, aimed at creating synergy between the global initiatives of the two countries’ presidents, reviewing geopolitical trends in West Asia, and examining new capacities for economic and technological cooperation.
The ambassador outlined Iran’s positions and presented proposals on turning Iran-China relations into a sustainable and outcome-oriented partnership by relying on cultural interactions and the closeness of the two nations.
He said Iran-China relations have the capacity to be transformed more than ever into a stable, result-driven partnership, noting that adherence to mutual respect and non-interference, a long-term outlook, and the resolution of differences through dialogue could serve as a roadmap toward this goal.
The Iranian envoy added that relations between Iran and China advance through economic cooperation and connectivity, are safeguarded by trust-building security cooperation, and remain sustainable through mutual understanding and people-to-people exchanges./tasnim
