Iran and Turkey underline expanding parliamentary relations
Iran’s Ambassador in Ankara Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh and Abdurrahim Dusak, the chairperson of the Turkish PUIC Group in the Subcommittee on Muslim Communities and Minorities, have stressed developing parliamentary relations.
The two sides discussed the importance of Tehran-Ankara cooperation and the need for greater convergence among Islamic countries to address regional challenges.
They expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations, stressed exchanging parliamentary delegations, and maintaining cooperation between the two countries’ parliamentary friendship groups.
The importance of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) was also among the topics discussed by the Iranian diplomat and the Turkish lawmaker.
Habibollahzadeh and Dusak emphasized taking advantage of this capacity to defend the interests of the Islamic world on the international arena./irna
