Speaking at a meeting with a group of clerics on Tuesday, Pezeshkian said the indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States are not aimed at talks for the sake of talks, but at the genuine resolution of issues.

He stated that the process is being pursued in full coordination with, and with the permission of, the Leader, adding that the administration is seriously seeking to achieve results and expressing hope that the process will lead to tangible outcomes.

The president expressed appreciation for the Leader’s support, stating that Ayatollah Khamenei has shown the utmost backing and cooperation in all areas, programs, and decisions of the administration.

Pezeshkian noted that in cases where differences of opinion have existed with other branches or parts of the establishment, such differences have, through the Leader’s prudence and the government’s interactive approach, led to cooperation and understanding rather than confrontation, yielding positive achievements.

Addressing foreign policy, Pezeshkian said that in engagement with Islamic and neighboring countries, many issues have been resolved and broad and effective relations have been established.

He added that the manifestation of this cooperation could be seen in the unprecedented support of those countries for the Islamic Republic of Iran during the 12-day war in June 2025, their condemnation of the actions of the Zionist regime, and the comprehensive efforts by neighbors to reduce tensions, noting that this trend is continuing to expand./tasnim
