Spokesman Condemns Canada’s New Sanctions Against Iran

Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baqaei rebuked Canada’s decision to impose fresh sanctions on Iran, warning that capitulating to "bullies" will not shield nations from their aggressive tactics.

“Appeasing the bullies & aggressors by pressuring the victim will hardly keep you spared from (the consequences of) their lawlessness & bullying,” Baqaei said in a post on his X account on Friday, responding to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Anita Anand who has announced that her government will impose more sanctions against Iran.

“Appeasing bullies & fascists does not stop them; it only whets their appetite,” the Iranian spokesman warned./tasnim
