Iran Demands Clarification from Two Regional States Over Complicity in U.S.-Israeli Aggression
Following the downing of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the city of Shiraz, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson has pointed to the probable involvement of two unnamed regional countries in the ongoing U.S.-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei shared a photo of the intercepted drone on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday, emphasizing that the incident serves as further "hard evidence" of direct participation and active complicity by certain regional actors in war crimes against Iran.
“This drone was downed by our brave armed forces over the beloved city of Hafez and Saadi, Shiraz,” Baghaei stated. He further noted that the presence of this specific aircraft could be another piece of evidence linking regional states to the U.S. and Israeli "crime of aggression."
The Iranian spokesman issued a direct call for accountability, noting: “Clarification is needed by either of the TWO STATES of the region that are the users of this drone!”
This development follows a series of aerial incursions and escalating tensions in the region, with Tehran repeatedly warning neighboring countries against allowing their territory or military assets to be used as a launchpad for attacks against Iranian soil./isna
