Qalibaf Mocks US After Iranian Forces Down Aircraft in Isfahan

Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf mocked the US on his X account, sharing images of wreckage from a US military aircraft destroyed near Isfahan, after the Iranian military forces thwarted a rescue mission for a downed American pilot.

Posting to social media on Sunday, Qalibaf attached an image of the destroyed US aircraft and sarcastically said that if Washington were to suffer three more similar defeats, it would be “utterly ruined.”

“If the United States gets three more victories like this, it will be utterly ruined,” the Iranian Parliament speaker said.

His comment came after Iranian military forces destroyed multiple US aircraft, including Black Hawks and a C-130, in a coordinated operation south of Isfahan, which officials said foiled an attempt to extract a downed fighter pilot./tasnim
