Pezeshkian congratulates South Africa on Freedom Day anniversary

In his message to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Pezeshkian appreciated South African government and people for their solidarity with the Iranian nation.

He expressed hope that through Iran-South Africa joint efforts, they would move toward creating a world free from discrimination, war, colonialism, and supremacy.

Celebrated on 27 April, Freedom Day is a public holiday in South Africa honoring both the first post-apartheid elections held on that day in 1994 and the introduction of the new constitution./irna
