Iran energy ministry, UK Export Finance ink deal

EghtesadOnline: Iranian Energy Ministry and UK Export Finance (UKEF) inked a deal on financing the Iranian ministry’s plans on water and energy.
The document was signed in presence of Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chit-Chian and Iranian Charge D’Affairs to London Mohammad-Hassan Habibollah-Zadeh and a number of British officials, ISNA reports.
Any plan which needs financing or investment needs to be insured by UK Export Finance (UKEF), Chit-Chian said after the signing ceremony, expressing the hope that the move would facilitate funding plans by British institutions.
He also said that a new climate of cooperation between Iran and different countries has been created after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
He called Iran a ‘large market’, adding that British companies, banks and insurance companies would definitely have an effective role in the market.
Chit-Chian arrived in London on Monday for talks on attracting investment and boosting bilateral cooperation in water and energy.
