President: Being revolutionary means having free nation, freedom of thought
EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani said being revolutionary means cherishing a nation who has freedom-loving inspirations, stressing that good governance needs wisdom and not mere sloganism.
Addressing a gathering to honor half a century since establishment of the Iranian National Gas Company on Monday, he said the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) unharnessed the will of a nation in confronting imposed policies, reports IRNA.
He said sanctions had no gains for the Iranian nation for the fact that the dignity of the nation is bound to implementation of proper policies which in itself depends on using wisdom instead of relying on hollow slogans.
Now that sanctions are lifted, the President stressed, we are a nation that is free to export about two and a half million barrels of crude oil everyday and choose to have any amount of exports it wishes.
Hailing the role of Iranian oil industry experts and workers played during sacred defense years, he said that today the nation is witnessing remarkable progress in gas and oil industries.
He said oil and gas in Iran have never been a mere economic issue but rather always mixed with politics.
