Int'l shipping lines facing no restrictions in Iranian ports
EghtesadOnline: Managing Director of Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) said here on Wednesday that the nuclear deal between Iran and P5+1 has removed all sanctions imposed on Iranian ports.
Speaking in a local gathering, Mohammad Saeed-Nejad underscored that big vessels and famous international shipping lines are facing no restrictions in their traffic in the Iranian ports, according to IRNA.
Before the removal of anti-Iran sanctions, the ports had a capacity of 3.2 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit), he said, predicting the figure could reach six million TEU in the upcoming years.
Following the implementation of Iran nuclear deal, the projects for buying ports equipment became the top priority of the Iranian government, said the official.
He also reiterated that the PMO also pays due attention to train its human resources through holding international, short and mid-term training courses.
