Iran volleyball team among top 8 in Rio Olympic games
EghtesadOnline: Iranian national volleyball team defeated Egypt in 2016 Rio Olympics on Saturday to stabilize its presence in the knock-out stage where the first eight teams of the tournament will compete.
Iran beat Egypt in straight sets (28-26, 25-22 and 25-16).
With this win, Iran has received seven points from its four games so far.
Iran has been pitted against Poland, Argentina, Egypt, Cuba and Russia in Group B of the competitions, according to IRNA.
Four teams from Group A, as well as four teams from Group B will advance to the next stage.
