Iran slams Arab League council statement
EghtesadOnline: Iran categorically criticized the Arab League ministerial meeting statement, said that Arabs’ support knowingly or unknowingly could get them guagmired in Riyadh destabilizing policies.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi said that Iran calls on the Arab League Council to tell the truth and open its eyes on realities, according to ISNA.
He said unilateral and biased support for certain Arab League Council members not only has failed to settle crisis and misunderstanding of the region, but also it caused unrest and insecurity across the region and obscenity of Riyadh in killing innocent people of certain Arab countries.
The Iranian official further noted that the council needs to stop destructive support for Saudi Arabia if it is honest in helping peaceful co-existence of regional countries.
He said that the council should firmly ask Riyadh to stop killing and cracking down on people in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Bahrain and stop support for terrorists.
