Boeing, Airbus Deals to be finalized soon

EghtesadOnline: Iranian Transport Minister Abbas Akhoundi said there is nothing to worry about the purchase of aircraft from Boeing Co. and Airbus Group SE, expressing hope the OFAC grant licenses soon for the completion of the purchase deal.
He stated that after the deal signed between Iran and the French Airbus, the company followed the routine process to get the required permit to finalize the deal, noting the company succeeded to get the license form theTreasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for the first process.
Iranian official reiterated that first airplanes will be delivered to Iran soon after the mutual deal is finalized; adding the first process includes selling 17 airplanes to Iran in 2016 and that the permission has been already issued, according to ISNA.
He touched Iran deal with Boeing and said the issue with the company is different from the Airbus company, noting Iran will receive "all" the airplanes bought from the company after the deal is finalized.
He stated that Boeing has required getting the permit for the whole process.
“We plan to make purchases by the end of 2016 and we hope that the two aircraft manufacturers can receive the required permit form Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to provide us with our ordered 118 aircrafts from Boeing and 108 ones from Airbus,” he continued.
