IRGC: Iran will not tolerate violation of territorial waters in Persian Gulf

EghtesadOnline: Iran will not tolerate violation of territorial waters in the Persian Gulf by the Saudi vessels expected to get involved in military exercise, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy said in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement said that the IRGC Navy will not tolerate any provocative movement of the Saudi vessels which may put at risk security of the Persian Gulf, reports IRNA.
The warning comes after the Saudi navy declared to launch military exercise in the Persian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
IRGC believes that the Saudi military exercise aims escalation of tension and provocation in the Persian Gulf and the Oman Sea jeopardizing the longstanding security of the Sea environment.
IRGC Navy made clear that the Saudi vessels are not given safe passage permission from Iranian territorial waters or safe passage permission on the neighborhood of Iranian border lines at Sea.
Navy of IRGC and the Iranian Army are in full combat readiness to maintain sustainable security in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz and will promptly and powerfully respond to any Saudi vessel disrupting security of Iranian territorial waters, it said.
