Amir-Hossein Zamaninia touched upon the sanctions imposed on National Iranian Tanker Company (NTC), saying all international embargoes were completely removed following the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), reports ISNA.

He underlined the Iranian company has resumed its routine activities and operations since the sanctions have been lifted, adding European countries have no problem insuring Iranian oil tankers.

Iranian official stressed that NTC is making great efforts to prove the sanctions imposed on it wrong and without any justification, noting it is related to a period before the implementation of JCPOA and has legal aspect.

According to this report, the NITC filed a complaint at the Court of Justice of the European Union against the 2012/635 statute of the European Union Council. The EU Court ruled in favor of NITC on July 3, 2014 and the European Union Council did not appeal against the court ruling. However, on February 12, 2015, it kept the NITC on the list of EU sanctions on new grounds.
