Larijani: Terrorism expansion policy of the Zionist regime to weaken Islamic Umma
EghtesadOnline: Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday that continuation of current crises and expansion of terrorist groups are part of the Zionist regime policies to weaken abilities of Islamic Umma and underlined that awareness and understanding of the Islamic states may help end the crises.
He made the remarks in a meeting with a number of Tunisian parliament representatives.
Larijani expressed sorrow for recent crises in the region and said that media hype of the western media are purposeful, aiming to strengthen terrorist groups in the region, according to IRNA.
He added that all Shiia and Sunni religious groups oppose terrorist acts, but a minority group like Wahhabists, supported globally, intend to sow discord and encourage differences among Muslim nations.
Larijani expressed Iran's readiness for expansion of parliamentary cooperation, in technological domain in particular, between Iran and Tunisia.
Mobarakeh al-Barahemi, who is heading the Tunisian parliamentary delegation in visit to Tehran, said parliamentary diplomacy may strengthen and consolidate connection between the two countries.
She said that western media by showing unreal facts are trying to provoke Iranophobia and dispersion in Islamic states.
Al-Barahemi also called Saudi invasion against Yemeni people 'dastardly.'
Other members of Tunisian parliamentary delegation also underlined development of cultural, academic and research exchanges between Iran and Tunisia.
