Both sides discussed different issues including the recent developments in Lebanon and also the whole Middle East region, ISNA reported.
Zarif headed to the country Monday and held talks with senior officials aiming to discuss expanding mutual relations in different sectors.
Zarif had said earlier in his meeting with the newly-elected president that Iran would continue supporting the Lebanese nation and government, adding Lebanon's success in holding the presidential vote after two and a half years is a victory for all Lebanese.
He has also expressed Iran’s satisfaction on the fact that that the presidential election in Lebanon was held without any foreign interference.
