News ID: 737998

Qasemi voiced Iran’s sincere sympathy to the families of the victims on their loss during the terrible crime, calling on the international community to adhere to their responsibilities in fighting against terrorists and Takfiri groups, according to ISNA.

He went on to say that the attacks on diplomatic facilities in Afghanistan was a clear sign of affiliation of terrorist groups with enemies of the Afghan nation, adding  it seems that these groups and their supporters aim at increasing the presence of foreign troops in this country.

Iranian senior official stressed the immunity of diplomatic places anywhere in the world, stating that Iran’s Consulate General was the first diplomatic facility attacked by the terrorists in 1998 in Mazar Sharif, which left many killed and injured.

Qasemi underscored that repeating such aggressive acts proves the need for unity among all countries all across the world.

He underlined that recent events show once again that terrorism knows no nationality and location.
