President cites employment, water, environment as most critical issues for country

Talking in a gathering on social responsibility here on Monday, he said the most important issue now for the Iranian society is to provide employment to young people.

As for the shortage of water in the country, he said it was not just the government’s duty to tackle the problem but rather the public had to take positive steps to solve the issue as well, IRNA reported.

Outlining his government’s efforts to boost oil industry performance in the country, President Rouhani said he has been trying to decrease dependence on oil revenue, noting that only 30 percent of the current budget relies on oil incomes.
