Zarif to visit India, China, Japan soon
EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Wednesday Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, heading a political-economic delegation, is due to visit India, China and Japan soon.
On the first leg of his Asian tour, Qasemi noted, Zarif would go to India to attend and deliver a speech in the Ministerial Conference on Afghanistan called 'Heart of Asia'.
“On the second and third legs of his Asian tour, Zarif would travel to China and Japan respectively,” he noted.
Qasemi said that the visits are to take place upon official invitations extended by his Chinese and Japanese counterparts, according to IRNA.
He noted that Zarif is to hold talks with several high-ranking Chinese and Japanese officials and attend the joint trade meetings in these Asian countries.
Foreign Ministry spokesman went on to say that Zarif would review the latest regional and international developments with senior officials during his Asian tour.
