Iran could allow Russian bombers to use its airspace

“Joint cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in fighting against terrorism in Syria has comprehensive and different aspects and it is possible that Iran will allow Russia use its airspace to support the anti-terrorist ground operation in Syria,” Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said.

“Issuing permissions to allow Russian aircraft to use Iranian airspace would require a lot of procedures and approvals made by different Iranian institutions,” ISNA quoted him as saying.
