TEDPIX, IFX End Week Higher

EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index TEDPIX added 443 points or 0.6% during the trading week that ended April 12 and stood at 78,132. IFX, the main index of over-the-counter market Iran Fara Bourse also gained 7 points or 1.4% to reach 896.
TSE and IFB were closed on Tuesday.
TSE witnessed the trading of 51.1 billion shares valued at $286.9 million during the week.
The number of traded shares and weekly trade value grew by 82% and 113.6% respectively, according to Financial Tribune.
Its First Market Index gained 333 points or 0.61% to end at 54,859 and Second Market Index advanced by 840 points or 0.5% to close at 169,631.
IFB was host to trading of 1.56 billion securities valued at $183 million, with the number of traded shares and trade value rising 149% and 217% respectively. IFB's market cap added $403.15 million or 1.4% to post $28.37 billion.
IFB's First Market witnessed the trading of 222 million securities valued at $10.42 million, indicating a 52% and 25% rise in the number of traded securities and trade value respectively.
Some 491 million securities valued at $46.34 million were traded in the Second Market, surging 368% and 266% respectively.
The ‘food and beverages, other than sugar’ group of IFB-listed industries had the highest weekly rise in share value (15%).
'Transportation, storage and communication' (11%) and 'base metals' (9%) came next.
