Mohammad Rahmati also told IBENA that based on a binding contract between the two firms, the new fleet entering Iran Air will automatically receive insurance policies by the state-owned insurer.  He explained that the coverage includes passenger liability, third-party and the fuselage. Two new ATR aircraft landed in Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport on Saturday. Iran Ai signed a contract with the Franco-Italian planemaker in April to purchase 20 ATR 72-600 planes worth $400 million based on list prices. Six of the turboprop short-haul regional airliners have already been delivered to Iran so far. The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran has issued the registration license and flight permit for the two 70-seat jets, Financial Tribune reported.
