Tehran, Damascus to Bolster Economic, Investment Coop.
EghtesadOnline: Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Sunday discussed with Iranian Roads Minister Mohammad Eslami and an accompanying delegation ways of boosting economic and investment cooperation between Syria and Iran.
The two sides held talks about the necessity of crystallizing a comprehensive vision to enhance cooperation during the meetings of Syrian-Iranian Committee, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported.
They agreed to go ahead with continuous coordination in light of sanctions and coercive measures that target the Syrian and Iranian people.
Khamis said the technical joint committees agreed to put a new vision for cooperation, which cover the economic, investment and infrastructure domains, welcoming a broader participation by Iranian companies in the reconstruction process, according to Financial Tribune.
The Iranian minister stressed the need for promoting economic ties up to the level of deeply-rooted military and political relations.
