Estameran/Sayer dates

Most of this type of dates has no kernel and are considered one of the sweetest types in the date export market. They are widely cultivated in southern cities of Iran. The sugar content of these dates is very high. (About 75%)

These dates are mostly exported to European countries. The type of this date is semi-dry and because it is the least damaged at ambient temperature, it accounts for about 45% of Iran's date exports.

The kernels of this date are easily separated and are literally a pleasant food. These dates are used as a natural sweetener in sweets or other foods.

Shahani dates

Most of the products of this date are consumed in the form of kharak (unripe date), because its sweetness is very high. A high percentage of Shahani dates are cultivated and harvested in Fars province. The Shahani palm tree, like its fruit, is different from other varieties. This date is elongated and has a narrow tip and is light brown in color. In Jahrom city, 40,000 tons of dates are produced annually, of which more than 10,000 tons are exported to foreign countries.

Zahedi dates

Other types of dates in Iran include Zahedi dates. It is classified as dried dates. This dates has a lot of fall and is kind of late-ripening. It is of very high quality and has favorable conditions for storage in warehouses and trucks. For this reason, it is one of the main export types of date of Iran.

Kabkaab dates

Unlike other dates, kebab dates have a bitter taste when they are unripe and kharak. This dates is planted and harvested a lot in Borazjan and also exists in other areas such as Tabas, Khormoj, and Behbahan. Economically, it is ranked fourth after Estameran, Shahani and Mazafati.

Rabbi dates

It is one of the most famous export dates in Sistan and Baluchistan province. It has the high shelf-life and therefore, it can maintain its quality in long transport even with no cold storage. The moisture of this dates is very low and its shape is large and its skin is shiny. It is reddish black.

Barhi dates

Barhi is the most desirable type of date in international trade and date export, which is mostly planted and harvested in Abadan and Khorramshahr cities. Strong aroma and small size distinguish this type of date from other types.

Khazravi dates

Khazravi is an early-ripening dates that can be consumed in the form of Kharak and Rotab. It is one of the soft dates that are mostly harvested in the cities of Jahrom, Kazerun, Dashtestan, and Ramhormoz.
