Tehran, Bucharest underscore developing bilateral ties
EghtesadOnline: Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister of Romania Costin Borc discussed bilateral ties emphasizing developing trade ties and economic cooperation.
According to IRNA, Takht-Ravanchi and Costin Borc described the atmosphere in different fields like information technology, tourism, agriculture, energy and investment to expand bilateral cooperation.
Both sides called for holding joint ministerial economic commission in the upcoming Iranian month of Aban (October 22-November 20) as a step to get more familiarized with both countries' facilities and capabilities and to develop economic ties and cooperation.
Issues like the way to promote banking interactions and to reinforce transit cooperation between the two countries were also discussed in the meeting.
In related news, Takht-Ravanchi, in a meeting with Romanian Foreign Minister Lazar Comanescu on Sunday, underlined the Islamic Republic of Iran's determination to broaden Tehran-Bucharest relations in all areas, including energy and transportation.
Takht-Ravanchi is scheduled to leave Bucharest for Athens on Tuesday to have negotiations with Greek officials.
