EghtesadOnline: Iran's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday summoned the caretaker of Egypt's interests section in Tehran to convey the Islamic Republic's protest over the presence of Egypt's MPs in a Paris annual gathering of the MKO terrorist group.
According to IRNA, the Director General for the Iranian Foreign Ministry's Department of Middle East and North Africa Hamidreza Dehqani declared Iran's strong objection against the presence of some Egyptian lawmakers in a recent event organized by the MKO terrorists in the French capital.
The support for this terrorist group by the Egyptian parliament members is a clear interference in Iran's internal affairs, Dehqani said .
Iran expects Egypt to adopt principled and responsive policy in support of peace and stability in the region, the official added.
The caretaker of Egyptian interest office in Iran for his part stressed that Cairo is committed to non-interference policy.
