Velayati: Bankrupt people convened in Paris to mourn MKO
EghtesadOnline: Head of the Center for Strategic Research of Expediency Council Ali-Akbar Velayati said on Wednesday that bankrupt people convened in Paris to mourn Mujahedin Khalq Organization.
Velayati made the remarks speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a meeting with a number of Afghan political activists and academics.
He said that all those who gathered in Paris, either the MKO members who betrayed their own people or those like the former Saudi minister were bankrupt persons.
They are a group of political bankrupts and traitors to nation that have done nothing but betrayal ever since they have come to existence, Velayati said, referring to MKO working with Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein Army in warfronts against Iranian soldiers fighting to repulse Iraqi aggression on Iran (1980-1988).
They served the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein when they were in Iraq and now are serving the US and the Saudi governments that have had a hostile approach towards Iran, Velayati said.
They do not dare to come to Iran, Velayati said. 'Iran has such a high security and the Iranian nation is so united and hate the traitors, so that they do not dare to introduce themselves to the Iranian people.'
