EghtesadOnline: Director General of the Strategic Economic Affairs Department at Foreign Ministry Freydoun Haghbin said on Monday that 38 economic enterprises are accompanying Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in his West Africa tour.
Haghbin told IRNA that regarding the JCOPA talks and the conditions after the nuclear agreement, Iranian diplomatic organ tries to turn the value-added of diplomatic relations to economic value-added.
During their stay in Nigeria, the Iranian delegation of economic enterprises is to hold talks with the Nigerian party, added Haghbin.
“The report to be prepared out of the meetings is of crucial importance for us and government will hence try to prepare the ground for supporting the companies.'
The official said in the past foreign ministers were not accompanied by economic delegations but in this visit efforts have been made to push up exports.
“Our job is to create chances for the companies; we will try to provide an opportunity for Iranian companies to go with exports at the least exports cost. African market is appropriate for Iranian products. Iranian products in various technical and engineering services, power plant infrastructure, export of foodstuff related products and petrochemical products can have good market in Africa.”
Furthermore, he added, Iran can export pharmaceutical products to Africa.
