Pakistan senior national security official due in Tehran

EghtesadOnline: Advisor to Pakistan Prime Minister on National Security 'Nasir Khan Janjua' to pay a two-day visit to Tehran to discuss bilateral ties, security issues, regional developments and border issues.

Janjua is expected to arrive in Tehran Sunday afternoon.

During his visit, the official to meet Iranian Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani .

The Pakistani official will also meet Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and Supreme Leader’s advisor on international affairs Ali Akbar Velayati, reports IRNA.

A statement issued earlier today by the Pakistan prime minister's office in Islamabad said that the advisor is visiting Iran on the invitation of Iranian government for consultations on issues of mutual interests. 

The statement said Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Iran being a brotherly neighbouring country.

Ali Shamkhani, the Iranian counterpart for Pakistan's Janjua, visited Islamabad in October 2015.
