Amir-Abdollahian: Iran not interfering in Bahrain's affairs
EghtesadOnline: Special advisor to Majlis Speaker for international affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian underlined Iran's non-interference in Bahrain's internal affairs.
'Tehran has no interference in the Bahrain's affairs, but supports democracy and freedom of speech and human rights in the region and Bahrain,' Amir-Abdollahian said on Tuesday evening in reaction to trial of Bahrain's senior cleric Sheikh Mohammad Issa Qassim.
'The trial of Sheikh Issa Qassim, the religious leader of Bahrain is a rude attempt,' he added.
Amir-Abdollahian underlined that if the Bahraini regime does not take lesson from the history and continues to repeat its mistakes, it will surely be harmed, according to IRNA.
'The Bahraini rulers should rely on their people instead of relying on the foreigners,' he added.
Amir-Abdollahian said that the freedom of Sheikh Ali Salman from illegal custody and respecting the dignity of Sheikh Ayatollah Issa Qassim and stopping the security measures are necessary prelude to political solution in Bahrain.
