Bulgarian MEP calls for boost of Iran-EU ties
EghtesadOnline: Bulgarian Member of European Parliament Ilhan Kyuchyuk called for improvement of relations between Iran, the European Union and the European Parliament.
According to IRNA, he made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Sofia Abdollah Norouzi on Friday.
Members of European Parliament have a wrong and incomplete understanding of Iran, Kyuchyuk said.
He urged increase of consultations between Iranian officials and the European Parliament to boost the MEPs' information on Iran and its rich history and culture.
Kyuchyuk praised Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s speech in the European parliament in February.
