Iraqi Army operation major blow to Daesh oil incomes: Commander
EghtesadOnline: Liberation of 60 oil wells from Daesh terrorists in an operation south of Mosul by the Iraqi Army has dealt a big blow to terrorists' oil incomes, Nineveh Province operations commander says.
Qayyarah operation which led to liberation of 60 oil wells in this region south of Mosul was a big blow to Daesh oil revenues, Brigadier General Najm al-Jabouri told the Islamic Republic News Agency on Friday.
Al-Jabouri said that as a result of Qayyarah operation, half of the oil wells in the region which were a major financial source for Daesh liberated and are now under the control of the Iraqi Army, according to IRNA.
Daesh terrorists were making a daily income of one million dollars from 60 oil wells in the Qayyarah region, he said.
