News ID: 769361

NIOC’s deputy official Karim Zobeidi said some 239 billion barrels of the in-placed liquid hydrocarbon reserves, including crude oil and gas condensate, are considered as recoverable.

Iran has the largest gas reserves and is the world's fourth largest holder of oil resources, reports IRNA.

Putting the country crude oil resources at 711.5 billion barrels, Zobeidi added some 175.39 billion barrels of the figure are recoverable.

Zobeidi also predicts that if Iran gas resources could be transformed into liquid, the country would own the highest amount of the world's hydrocarbon reserves.
