Pak media: PM Nawaz Sharif to meet Iran's Rouhani in New York
EghtesadOnline: Pakistani media reported that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to meet Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the sidelines of 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Pakistani Premier will also hold bilateral meetings with the leadership of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and China, according to the media.
Earlier, Pakistani Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz met with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on the sidelines of 17th NAM Summit in Venezuela and appreciated Iran's role as the President of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), reports IRNA.
In March this year Iranian President Hassan Rouhani visited Pakistan leading a high level delegation.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also visited Tehran two times in recent years; his first visit was in May 2104 while the second visit took place in January 2016.
