Salehi says he raised reciprocity of JCPOA with US Energy Sec Moniz
EghtesadOnline: Iranian Vice–President and head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi said on Monday that he raised the reciprocal expectation from the nuclear deal with US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz.
Salehi told reporters on the sidelines of the 60th General Conference of International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna that he raised Iranian reciprocal expectations from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz.
According to IRNA, Salehi said that he told Moniz that Washington, as the signatory of the nuclear deal must honor its commitments to the JCPOA and regulate implementation of the deal to an acceptable level.
He said that probably another meeting will take place later in the day with the US secretary of energy to review the issues pertaining to JCPOA.
Salehi is due to meet with his Russian counterpart and then Director General of the agency Yukiya Amano on Monday afternoon.
The 60th General Conference of IAEA kicked off on Monday in presence of representatives from 168 member states of the agency. It will work until Friday September 30.
Salehi in his speech to the IAEA General Conference urged the Board of Governors to monitor Israeli nuclear sites.
He emphasized the impartiality of the UN agency in supervision on nuclear activities of member states.
