Iran, Malaysia stress broadening ties
EghtesadOnline: Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani met with Malaysian high-ranking officials and stressed the importance of broadening mutual ties in various areas.
The president referred to his meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, and said signing of an extradition treaty between the two countries was the result of the meeting.
He stated that the two countries are determined to increase bilateral relations in near future, adding the expansion of economic, cultural, scientific and political ties would benefit the two nations as well as the regional countries, reports ISNA.
Iran’s president touched the current situation in the region and the world of Islam and said both countries must feel responsible to create unity among Muslims all across the world.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is currently on a two-day official visit to Malaysia, his first trip to this country since he took office in 2013.
