President Rouhani invites Vietnamese counterpart to visit Iran
EghtesadOnline: Visiting Iranian President Hassan Rouhani officially invited his Vietnamese counterpart Tran Dai Quang to pay a visit to Iran in the near future.
President Rouhani made the remarks in a joint press conference attended by his Vietnamese counterpart.
President Tran Dai Quang, for his part, appreciated President Rouhani's official invitation and hoped that he could plan the visit as soon as possible, reports IRNA.
President Rouhani and his Vietnamese counterpart started their meeting in Hanoi Thursday morning immediately after the Iranian President was officially welcomed by his Vietnamese counterpart at his Presidential Palace.
While in Hanoi, President Rouhani is hold separate talks with senior officials of Vietnam and sign a number of agreements for bilateral cooperation in different fields.
President Rouhani arrived in Hanoi on Wednesday (Oct 5) leading a high ranking political and economic delegation on the first leg of his regional tour to South-East Asian Nations which will later take him to Malaysia and Thailand respectively.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Agriculture-Jihad Mahmoud Hojjati, Minister of Industries, Mine and Commerce Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and CBI Governor Valiollah Seif are accompanying the president.
The foreign ministers of the two countries are to hold negotiators following the meeting of the Iranian and Vietnamese presidents.
At the end of his three-day visit to Vietnam, President Rouhani will leave Hanoi for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
