Four injured in Shahroud Oil, Gas Refinery fire

Salmanpour told IRNA that two workers in the refinery got burns and two sustained fractures in their organs.

They all were transported to Imam Hossein Hospital in Shahroud and two were discharged after treatment, he said.

Emergency experts appeared in the scene with three ambulances after they were called, he said.

Pirouzi Oil and Gas Refinery caught fire at 2: 45 Friday and it was curbed by Shahroud, Bastam and Damghan firemen at 7: 20.

According to senior provincial officials, some 80,000 to 100,000 liters of oil products were burnt in the incident. 

The officials said the cause of arson is currently under investigation.
