Iranian film at International Film festival Mannheim-Heidelberg
EghtesadOnline: Iranian film “Another Time” directed by Nahid Hassanzadeh will be screened at the 65th International Film festival Mannheim-Heidelberg due to be held November 10 in Germany.
Iranian film narrates the story of a chemical plant worker, protesting against being unpaid for over a year, is arrested during a demonstration and imprisoned without trial. He’s released one year later with no explanation given. On arriving home he finds his daughter, Somayeh, has given birth out of wedlock.
The festival will open the coming week and continues for 10 days and the program will be online from mid October 2016.Mannheim-Heidelberg is one of the oldest film festivals in the world - and the second oldest in Germany, reports ISNA.
Elsewhere, Iranian director Behruz Sebt-Rasul’s drama “Identity” will also be screened at the 14th Chennai International Film Festival, which will be held in India from December 15 to 22.
His film narrates the story a teenage boy who lives with his mother, but their impoverished living conditions force him to work.
