Neurosurgical Society of Iran, Italy to broaden cooperation
EghtesadOnline: Iranian and Italian researchers seek holding international congresses and share mutual knowledge and technology.
Executive Committee Member of Italian Society of Neurosurgery has said their researchers have been working with Neurosurgical Society of Iran for many years, adding they are looking forward to further fruitful cooperation.
In an exclusive interview with the Iranian Students’ News Agency, Reza Ghadirpour, MD, Chief of Department of Neurosurgery in Reggio Emilia, Italy who has been invited to the 1st International Congress of Neurovascular Surgery said Iran and Italy have always had good scientific cooperation.
He stated that, “What we are trying to do is to expand it by holding international congresses and share our knowledge.”
He added that Iran has many top neurosurgeons all around the world including Professor Majid Samii, a distinguished German-Iranian neurosurgeon and medical scientist.
"The World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) has also active exchange of ideas with Neurosurgical Society of Iran."
Ghadirpour, who has attended many international congresses said, ”NSIIM 2016 was one of the best. And we asked Neurosurgical Society of Iran to participate in next conference in this field which is going to be held in beautiful city of Veniz, Italy on 1 to 5 Oct 2017.”
Dr. Reza Ghadirpour is working at Neurosurgery-Neurotraumatology Unit, University Hospital of Parma, ,Italy and he is also working at Neurosurgery Unit a neurosurgeon at IRCCS Arcispedale Santa Maria Nuova of Reggio Emilia, Italy.
Recently, he published a review article on Incidentally Detected Pulmonary Metastasis from Recurrent Atypical Meningioma with Superior Sagittal Sinus Invasion – Case Report and Literature Review.
